Designed as a lightweight shoe that doesn’t compromise on stability or support, it was created for entry-level runners who need a well-cushioned option for both on and off-road adventures. In its classic form, here presented in Mizuno Snow White, Graphite, and Wind Chime, the upper artfully combines breathable mesh with suede reinforcements, delivering durability and maximum comfort. The midsole features single-density, compression-moulded EVA foam enhanced by Mizuno’s Transpower technology in the heel, ensuring responsive cushioning and effective shock absorption, while a new one-piece solid rubber outsole with forefoot flex grooves guarantees a smooth transition from heel to toe. With its 90s classic aesthetic, marked by a balanced mix of matte mesh and suede, the Contender perfectly marries a casual feel with its sporty heritage. In SS25, the Contender S continues this legacy with a refined blend of genuine and synthetic suede on a white base, complete with tonal overlays and a contrasting finish—proving that some classics only get better with time.
