The overly dramatic balloon fit makes sure maximum comfort is guaranteed, with dropped shoulders meeting ribbed cuffs to create a wider sleeve without the inconvenience of baggy cuffs. The heavyweight fabric falls just so over the body, and all your warmth is kept in by the ribbed waistband. You generated that heat, and you should get to keep it. 100% cotton keeps things from getting too sweaty though, promoting breathability and a soft touch.
