EQVVS Picks: 5 Sergio Tacchini Track Tops
From Breaking Bad to Sky Max's new 2023 crime series A Town Called Malice, the track top has certainly made a name for itself in TV & Cinema as a tried and true way to tell the audience 'hey, this is a flashback scene to the 80's'.
At EQVVS HQ we're big advocates of respecting the legacy of the track top and what it brings to the fashion smorgasboard, without looking like you're heading off to a fancy dress party with Marty McFly and Adam Ant.
Sergio Tacchini, Italian sportswear designer and professional tennis player, put his brand on the map back in 1966, giving Italy their own space to rattle a racket along with the U.K. and France (via Fred Perry and Lacoste).
So even though they come bearing an era of tennis nostalgia and an off the court confidence dating back as far as the 1960's, the track top legacy is firmly rooted in sportswear but we've found a place for it outside of Wimbledon.

This design is a seasonal reissue of the Track Top worn during a Wimbledon Grand Slam back in '84.
