With an estimated wealth of $7 billion, it comes as no surprise that fashion designer and founder of the Ralph Lauren Corporation has exquisite taste. Besides his fantastic clothing collections, who knew that Ralph Lauren’s car collection is up there as one of the most impressive in the world? With an estimated value of $350 million, his collection includes some of the rarest in the world. With a little bit of everything, from classic, modern, and one-of-a-kind, we take a look at our favourites.

Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia Spyder

Purchased by Lauren in 2004, the Mille Miglia Spyder is one of only 4 team cars ever built by Alfa Romeo and Carrozzeria Touring. He restored it back to its original glory which had finished first and second at the 1938 Mille Miglia, so you can imagine, this is a pretty special car.

2006 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

It’s the world’s fastest production car and one of the most expensive too. With 1,184 horsepower and a top speed of 267mph, it’s no wonder why the price tag is so great at $2.4 million.

With only a maximum of five originals remaining, they are undoubtedly one of the most sought-after cars in the world. And Ralph Lauren owns one of them. It was one of the fastest cars of its time designed by Ferdinand Porsche and running on nearly 300 horsepower with a top speed of 120mph. Ralph Lauren’s model which he named “Count Trossi” won many awards and it has been speculated that it could possibly be the inspiration behind the Batmobile.

1965 Aston Martin DB5 Volante Drophead Coupe

Made infamous for being Bond’s car in Goldfinger, Ralph Lauren has one and it’s kind of, better (minus the weapons). It’s a lot rarer than the standard DB5 and was designed by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera on a 4 litre engine with 282 horsepower.

1996 Mclaren F1 LM

One of the more modern models in his collection, as if we weren’t envious enough, Ralph Lauren owns one of only five of the F1 LM’s ever built. It’s fast, it’s rare and it’s super expensive, but it is also magnificent.

These are just a mere handful of Ralph Lauren’s extensive and impressive group of cars, 17 of them were even displayed at the Louvre in honour of his collection, so it’s clear that his car garage is one of the most extraordinary in the world. At his 2017 fall fashion show, he incorporated them into the runway for a most spectacular show. He describes cars as “moving art” and his are pretty jaw-dropping, to say the least.
